They are not of the world, &c.] Here indeed they have their commoration, but their conversation is in heaven, ðïëéôåõìá , Php_2:21 : they are clothed with the Sun of righteousness, and have the moon (all earthly things) under their feet, Rev_12:1. Pearls, though they grow in the sea, yet they have affinity with the heaven, the beauty and brightness whereof they resemble: so here. It is Chrysostom’s comparison.
