Ver. 27. A man can receive nothing] There is much in this word "man," as Beza thinks, to set forth the most miserable indigence of all mankind by nature. {a} The Greeks, when they set forth one miserable indeed, they call him ôñéóáíèñùðïí , thrice a man.
