27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
Ver. 27. No man knoweth whence he is] This error might arise out of some texts of Scripture misunderstood, as Isa_53:8; Psa_110:4. We should, whenever we open the Bible, pray, "Lord, open mine eyes, that I may see the wondrous things of thy law," Psa_119:18.
