41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.



Ver. 41. We have one Father, even God] Yet God is not in their heads, Psa_10:4, nor heart, Psa_14:1, nor words, Psa_12:4, nor ways, Tit_1:16. In such a posture of distance, nay, defiance, stand wicked men. And yet none so forward to call God Father, Jer_3:4-5.
