Jos_14:6 Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea.
Ver. 6. Then the children of Judah,] i.e., The chief of them came, as advocates for Caleb, who was a man of great eminency in their tribe.
And Caleb the son of Jephunneh.] To distinguish him from Caleb the son of Hezron. {1Ch_2:18}
Thou knowest the thing.] What prerogative the Lord promised us for a reward of our constancy. God is a liberal paymaster, and sendeth no man away with cause to complain of a hard bargain.
