Right over against Jericho.] The place being therehence called Bethabara, as some think, {Joh_1:28} or Traiectum, the place of passage. Here baptism was first administered, {Joh_1:28} where it had been foreshadowed. Christ is the true Bethabara. {Eph_2:18}
