Jos_7:13 Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, [There is] an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.
Ver. 13. Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify, &c.] Come before God with the best preparations you can make. That "God that is holy is to be sanctified in righteousness." {Isa_5:16} And he will be "sanctified of all them that draw nigh unto him" {Lev_10:3}
