Jdg_19:26 Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man’s house where her lord [was], till it was light.
Ver. 26. Fell down.] Dead. These villains had taken their lustful turns upon her, until they had turned her out of the world. And the like was done at Winchelsea in Sussex, by the French soldiers, upon a holiday, at the time of divine service, where a woman being of singular beauty, was, by their insatiable violations, murdered, and they got back to their ships before the country could rise upon them to take due vengeance.
