Lev_26:20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
Ver. 20. Your land shall not yield.] See this fulfilled. {Jer_14:1-2, &c., and Joe_1:12 Jer_8:13} And yet their country was called Sumen totius orbis. Cornelius Tacitus yields it to be a fruitful country. So did Rabshakeh long before. {2Ki_18:32}
