Lev_9:1 And it came to pass on the eighth day, [that] Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

Ver. 1. On the eighth day.] The very next day after the priest’s consecration, that no time might be lost. "I made haste and delayed not," &c. {Psa_119:16} "Then said I, Lo I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me," &c. {Psa_40:7} Live, live, live, saith one, quickly, much, long: let no water go by, no day be lost, &c. Preach, preach, be instant, quick at work, &c.
