6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.



Ver. 6. In all the commandments and ordinances] That is, in all the duties of both the moral and ceremonial law.



Blameless] Áìåìðñïé , sine querela, saith the Vulgate, "without complaint." They neither complained about others, nor were complained about by others. As it is reported of Burleigh, Lord Treasurer in Queen Elizabeth’s reign, that he never sued any man, nor did any man ever sue him, and was therefore in the number of those few that both lived and died with glory.
