39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.



Ver. 39. According to the law of the Lord] This is often recorded of them in this chapter, that they observed the law exactly, to their singular commendation. The law is to be kept as the apple of one’s eye, Pro_7:2. Count nothing little that God commands. It is as much treason to coin pence as twenty shilling pieces. And they were commanded not to eat of the blood, as ever they looked for God’s blessing.
