17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

And are sad] Christ loves not to see his saints sad; he questions them as Joseph did his prisoners, "Wherefore look ye so sadly today?" Gen_40:7, and as the king did Nehemiah, Luk_2:2.
