33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.



Ver. 33. Ran afoot thither] That is, they came thither by land, not by sea. Êáôá èáëáóóáí êáé ðåæç ubique opponuntur. (Scultet.) Whether on foot or on horseback, for many of them were not able to foot it, as being weak, lame, maimed, &c.
