16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.



Ver. 16. Holding forth the word] åðå÷ïíôåò , as an ensign, or rather as the hand doth the torch, or the watch tower the light, and so the haven to weather beaten mariners.
