Pro_29:17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
Ver. 17. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest.] He will grow so towardly, that thou shalt with less ado rule him when grown up; or at least, thou shalt have peace within, in that thou hast used God’s means to mend him.
Yea, he shall give delight.] See Pro_10:1. The often urging this nurturing of children, shows that it is a most necessary, but much neglected duty.
