Her clothing is silk and purple.] Suitable to her husband’s condition, who is a principal man. {Pro_31:23} That is excellent counsel that Tertullian gives women, Vestite vos serico pietatis, byssino sanctitatis, purpura pudicitiae: {a} Clothe yourselves with the silk of piety, with the satin of sanctity, with the purple of modesty, &c.
