Rth_2:22 And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, [It is] good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field.
Ver. 22. It is good, my daughter.] Thus the elder woman must advise the younger, and say,
“ Thesaurum cum virgo, tuum vas fictile servet,
Ut fugias quae sunt noxia, tuta time. ”
That they meet thee not.] Or, Fall not upon thee, or solicit thee to folly. Vulgo dicitur castam esse quam nemo rogarit.
