, Euth. Zigabenus. Matthew alone records the two miracles, Mat_9:27-34, but it is rash to regard them (Holtzmann) as a literary device in anticipation of Mat_11:5. The title “son of David” is surely conceivable enough, considering the works already done by Jesus, and so cannot serve as a ground for regarding the healing of the blind man here recorded as a variation of Mat_20:29 ff. (Wilke, Bleek, Weiss, Keim).
