This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

Rev_14:9-11. That the wine of fornication is at the same time a wine of Divine wrath (Rev_14:8), follows from the message of the third angel, inasmuch as this expressly announces to the worshippers of the beast the impending Divine retribution: καὶ αὐτὸς πίεται ἐκ τοῦ οἰνου τοῦ θυμοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ , κ . τ . λ ., for the words εἴ τις προσκυνεὶ , κ . τ . λ ., describe, according to the measure of ch. 13,[3503] the meaning of the figurative expression πορνεία , Rev_14:8.

[3503] It really makes no difference that in Rev_13:16 the ἐπι τ . χειρ . precedes, and in this passage the ἐπὶ τ . μετώπ . But with respect to change of case (cf. Winer, p. 382), it cannot be disregarded that in both places (cf. also Rev_13:1) the genitive precedes. Cf. Rev_7:1, where, however, a modification of the idea is recognizable in ἐπὶ τῆς γ ., τῆς θ . (on the earth, the sea) and ἑπι τι δενδρον (on any tree, against any tree). The accus. occurs twice, Rev_20:4.
