gives the point of view from which Titus can be considered the genuine son of the apostle. Beza: i.e. fidei respectu quae quidem et Paulo patri et Tito filio communis erat. There is nothing to indicate that in using
κοινήν
Paul was thinking of an original difference between them, he being a Jewish Christian, Titus a Gentile Christian.
