This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
The daughters of Heth, Esau’s wives, who were Hittites, Gen_26:34. Therefore let us, after the example of Abraham, send him to fetch a wife from his own kindred. This indeed was one reason, but the other she conceals from Isaac; thus prudently alleging several reasons, one to Jacob, and another, as it is probable, to Esau, and each most suitable to the person to whom she speaks.
