ADDAN (1Es_5:36).—Some of the inhabitants of this place returned with Zerubbabel, but were unable to prove their true Isr. descent by showing to what clan or family they belonged (Ezr_2:59). The name does not appear in the later lists in Ezr_10:1-44, Neh_10:1-39. In Neh_7:61 it appears as Addon.
