DODANIM.—Named in the MT [Note: Massoretic Text.] of Gen_10:4 among the descendants of Javan, or Ionians. The LXX [Note: Septuagint.] and Sam. versions and the parallel passage 1Ch_1:7 read Rodanim, i.e. Rhodians. Cf. the true reading of Eze_27:15 under Dedan.
