GERA.—One of Benjamin’s sons (Gen_46:21, omitted in Num_26:38-40). Acc. to 1Ch_8:3; 1Ch_8:8; 1Ch_8:7 he was a son of Bela and a grandson of Benjamin. Gera was evidently a well-known Benjamite clan, to which belonged Ehud (Jdg_3:15) and Shimel (2Sa_16:5; 2Sa_19:16; 2Sa_19:18, 1Ki_2:3).
