GUNI.—1. The eponym of a Naphtalite family, Gen_46:24 = 1Ch_7:13 (cf. Num_26:48 where the gentilic Gunites occurs). 2. A Gadite chief (1Ch_5:15). Probably we should also read ‘the Gunite’ for ‘Jonathan’ in 2Sa_23:32; and for ‘the Gizonite’ in 1Ch_11:34.
