HAZARMAVETH.—The eponym of a Joktanite clan (Gen_10:26 = 1Ch_1:20), described as a ‘son’ of Joktan, fifth in order from Shem. Its identity with the modern Hadramaut is certain. It was celebrated for its traffic in frankincense.
