IYE-ABARIM (‘Iyim of the regions beyond,’ distinguishing this place from the Iim of Jos_15:29).—The station mentioned in Num_21:11; Num_33:44 (in Num_33:45 Iyim alone) and described (Num_21:11) as ‘in the wilderness which is before Moab toward the sun-rising,’ and more briefly (Num_33:44) as ‘in the border of Moab.’ Nothing is known as to its position beyond these indications.
