JADON.—A Meronothite, who took part in rebuilding the wail of Jerusalem (Neh_3:7). The title ‘Meronothite’ occurs again 1Ch_27:30, but a place Meronoth is nowhere named. According to Jos. [Note: Josephus.] (Ant. VIII. viii. 5, ix. 1), Jadon was the name of the man of God sent from Judah to Jeroboam (1Ki_13:1-34).
