JANOAH.—1. A town in the northern mountains of Naphtali, near Kedesh (2Ki_15:29). It is probably the modern Yanûh. 2. A place on the border of Ephraim (Jos_16:6-7); situated where the present Yânûn now stands, with the supposed tomb of Nun.
