JASHOBEAM.—One of David’s mighty men (1Ch_11:11; 1Ch_12:6; 1Ch_27:2). There is reason to believe that his real name was Ishbosheth, i.e. Eshbaal (‘man of Baal’). Cf. Adino and Josheb-basshebeth.
