KANAH.—1. A ‘brook’ or wady in the borders of Ephraim (Jos_16:8; Jos_17:9) which has been identified (doubtfully) with Wady Kanah near Shechem (Nâblus). 2. A town in the northern boundary of Asher (Jos_19:28), possibly to be identified with the modern Kana, a short distance S.E. of Tyre.
