MAASEIAH.—1. A priest, of the sons of Jeshua, who had married a foreign wife (Ezr_10:18 [1Es_9:19 Mathelas]). 2. An officer of Uzziah (2Ch_26:11). 18. A son of Ahaz slain by Zichri the Ephraimite (2Ch_28:7). 19. Governor of Jerusalem under Josiah (2Ch_34:8). 20. In 1Ch_6:40 Baaseiah appears to be a textual error for Maaseiah.
