MINISH.—The mod. form is ‘diminish.’ ‘Minish’ occurs in AV [Note: Authorized Version.] in Exo_5:19, Psa_107:39, and RV [Note: Revised Version.] introduces it at Isa_19:5, Hos_8:10; but Amer. RV [Note: Revised Version.] prefers ‘diminish’ everywhere.
