SARSECHIM seems to be the name of a Bab. [Note: Babylonian.] official (Jer_39:3), but the versions—Nabousachar, Nabousarach, Sarsacheim—suggest that the text was early corrupt. There is no known Bab. [Note: Babylonian.] name which exactly corresponds to any of these variants, and it is impossible to identify the person intended.
