SHUAH.—A son of Abraham and Keturah, Gen_25:2, 1Ch_1:32. The tribe represented by this name may perhaps be the Suchu of the cuneiform inscriptions, on the right bank of the Euphrates. Bildad the Shuhite (Job_2:11; Job_8:1; Job_18:1; Job_25:1; Job_42:9) is prob. intended to be thought of as belonging to this tribe.
