ASSIR.—1. A son of Korab (Exo_6:24, 1Ch_6:22). 2. A son of Ebiasaph (1Ch_6:23; 1Ch_6:37). 3. A son of Jeconiah (AV [Note: Authorized Version.] and RVm [Note: Revised Version margin.] of 1Ch_3:17). It is probable, however, that RV [Note: Revised Version.] correctly renders ‘Jeconiah the captive.’
