ZOHAR.—1. Father of Ephron the Hittite (Gen_23:8; Gen_25:19). 2. A Simeonite family (Gen_46:10, Exo_6:15); called in Num_26:15 and 1Ch_4:24 Zerah. 3. A Judahite family, according to the Kĕç of 1Ch_4:7, which was followed in AV [Note: Authorized Version.] of 1611. The Kĕîbh is incorrectly reproduced in modern edd. of AV [Note: Authorized Version.] as ‘Jezoar,’ and in RV [Note: Revised Version.] as ‘Izhar.’
