BENO (‘his son’).—In both AV [Note: Authorized Version.] and RV [Note: Revised Version.] a proper name in 1Ch_24:26-27, but we should perhaps render, ‘of Jaaziah his son, even the sons of Merari by Jaaziah his son’ (Oxf. Heb. Lex. s.v.).
