is an old English word, signifying a coat of scale armor, but now obsolete in this sense; used in Jer_46:4; Jer_51:3, for the Heb. ñַøְéåֹï , siryon' (occurring only in these passages), doubtless the same as the ùַׁøְéåֹï , shiryon', a "coat of mail" (1Sa_17:5; 1Sa_17:38) or corselet.
