In 1Ki_4:22; 1Ki_5:11; 2Ch_2:10; 2Ch_27:5; Luk_16:7, it is rendered indefinitely “measure” (q.v.); but in 1Es_8:20, it is correctly Anglicized. SEE METROLOGY.
