an English Congregational minister, was born at Great Eccleston, Lancashire, January 31, 1791. He entered Hackney Academy in 1811, and about three years later was ordained at Pickering, Yorkshire, where he labored until 1850; afterwards living without charge at Ripon, Eccleston, Kirkham, Garstang, and finally at Preston, until his death, November 14, 1868.
