a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Pendleton County, Virginia, August 1, 1807. He was converted in 1825; received license to preach in 1827; in 1829 entered the Baltimore Conference; and in 1837 was transferred to the Illinois Conference, wherein he served till his death, July 7, 1848.
