(Hebrew Eliel', õìֵéõֵì , to whom God is might), the name of some nine Israelites.

1. (Sept. Å᾿ëéήë .) A valiant phylarch of the tribe of Manasseh east (1 Chronicles v. 24). B.C. post 1612.

2. (Sept. Å᾿ëéήë .) Son of Toah and father of Jerohan, ancestors of Heman the singer and Levite (1Ch_6:34); probably identical with the ELIAB of 1Ch_6:34, and the ELIHU of 1Sa_1:1. B.C. cir 1250. SEE SAMUEL.

3. (Sept. Å᾿ëéçëß .) One of the descendants of Shimhi, and head of a Benjamite family in Jerusalem (1Ch_8:20). B.C. between 1612 and 588.

4. (Sept. Å᾿ëåήë .) One of the descendants of Shashak, and likewise head of a Benjamite family at Jerusalem (1Ch_8:22). B.C. eod.

5. (Sept. Å᾿ëéήë v.r. Å᾿ëéÜâ .) The seventh of the Gadite heroes who joined David in his stronghold in the wilderness (1Ch_12:11), possibly the same with No. 6 or 7. B.C. 1061.

6. (Sept. Å᾿ëéήë v.r. É᾿åëéήë .) A Mahanite (q.v), and one of David's distinguished warriors (1Ch_11:46). B.C. 1046.

7. (Sept. Á᾿ëéήë v.r. Äáëéήë .) Another of David's distinguished warriors (1Ch_11:47). B.C. eod.

8. (Sept. Å᾿ëéήë .) Chief of the 80 Hebronite Levites assembled by David to assist in bringing the ark to Jerusalem (1Ch_15:9; 1Ch_15:11). B.C. 1043.

9. (Sept. Å᾿ëéήë .) One of the Levites appointed by Hezekiah to have charge of the offerings for the Temple services (2Ch_31:13). B.C. 726.
