) of the forces" left in Judah after the deportation to Babylon, and who warned the Babylonian governor of the plots against him (Jer_40:8). B.C. 588. They submitted themselves to Gedaliah, the Babylonian governor, and were apparently massacred with him by Ishmael (41:3; comp. 40:13).
