( çֵîָà chema', or çָøåֹï charon', both signifying intense anger) is attributed to God like anger, metaphorically, or speaking after the manner of men; that is, God's providentials actions are such as would be performed by a man in a state of anger; so that when he is said to pour out hin fury on a person or on a people, it is a figurativem expression for dispensing afflictive judgments (Lev_26:28 Job_20:23; Isa_63:3; Jer_4:4; Eze_5:13; Dan_9:16; Zec_8:21 etc.).
