(Heb. Hamon'-Gog, äָîåֹï âּåֹâ , multitude of Gog; fully with âֵּéà , valley, prefixed; Sept. ôὸ Ãáú v ôὸ ðïëõÜíäñéïí ôïῦ Ãώë ,Vulg. Vallis multitudinis Gog), the name prophetically ascribed to the valley in which the corpses of the slaughtered army of Gog are described as to be buried (Eze_39:11; Eze_39:15); represented as situated to the east of the Dead Sea, on the thoroughfare of commerce with Arabia (comp. the route of the Ishmaelites to whom Joseph was sold, Gen_17:25), probably the present Haj road between Damascus and Mecca, but scarcely referring to any particular spot.
