1. (Sept. in Gen_46:17, É᾿åýë ; Vulg. Jessui, Auth. Vers. “Isui;” in Num_26:44, É᾿åóïý , Jessui, “Jesui;” in 1Ch_7:30, É᾿çóïõú v, Jessui, “shuai”). The third named of the sons of Asher, and founder of a family that bore his name (“Jesuites,” Num_26:44). B.C. 1856.

2. (Septuag. É᾿åóóïõß , Josephus É᾿åóïýò , Ant. 6. 6, 6; Vulg. Jessui, Auth.Vers. “Ishui”). The second named of the three oldest sons of king Saul (1Sa_14:49); probably the same with ABINADAB (1Sa_31:2; comp. 1Ch_8:33). SEE ISH-BOSHETIT.
