1. The second named of the sons of Simeon (Gen_46:11; Exo_6:15; Num_26:12; 1Ch_4:24). B.C. 1856. His descendants were called JAMINITES (Heb. Yanmini', éָîַéðַé , Sept. É᾿áìéíß , Num_26:12). 2. The second named of the three sons of Ram, the fourth in descent from Judah (1Ch_2:26). B.C. cir. 1658.

3. One of the priests that interpreted the law to the people after the return from Babylon (Neh_8:7). B. C. cir. 410.
