2. (Sept.

) The last named of the three sons of Mushi, grandson of Levi (1Ch_24:30); elsewhere (1Ch_23:23) called JEREMOTH SEE JEREMOTH (q.v.).
3. (Sept.

5. (Sept.
É᾿åñéìïýè
v.r.

6. (Sept.
Å᾿ñìïýè
v.r.
É᾿åñéìώè
.) A son of David, whose daughter Mahalath was Rehoboam's first wife (2Ch_11:18). B.C. ante 973. He appears to have been different from any of David's sons elsewhere enumerated (2Sa_3:2-5; 1Ch_14:4-7), having, perhaps, been born of a concubine (compare 2Sa_16:21). SEE DAVID. “This, in fact, is the Jewish tradition respecting his maternity (Jerome, Quoestiones, ad loc.). It is, however, somewhat questionable whether Rehoboam would have married the grandchild of a concubine even of the great David. The passage 2Ch_11:18 is not quite clear, since the word ‘daughter' is a correction of the Keri: the original text had
áï
, i.e. ‘son.'”
7. (Sept.
É᾿åñéìώè
.) A Levite, one of the overseers of the Temple offerings in the time of Hezekiah (2Ch_31:13). B.C. 726.
